My Story
Hi I’m Chico. I’m a bagel. Not the kind you eat, silly, but I’m part beagle and part basset. My name should be Houdini. I was a stray on the streets probably because I escaped from my home, and I wound up at an animal shelter. Suncoast Basset Rescue came to my rescue and busted me out of the shelter and into a nice cozy foster home. My human sister calls me “Chicolicious” because I’m such an awesome dog. I’m about 9 years old, neutered, and housebroken. I, unfortunately, am heartworm positive, probably from the time I spent on the streets but I’m currently undergoing treatment to get rid of these yucky worms. I love to play with my squeaky toys, do zoomies all around the house and play with other dogs. Don’t get me wrong though, I do like my nap time and love to just relax on the couch and do nothing. I should be available for adoption soon so if you are interested it’s not too soon to fill out an adoption application for me, Chico. I’d really love to find my forever home.
