My Story

Hello, my name is Lucy, and I am 12 years young. I may not respond to you if you call my name. Please don’t take offense to this as I am about 90% deaf. My foster Daddy says it can actually be a benefit when I am sleeping, and the other doggies start barking. My Daddy calls me a tiny basset, if that’s actually a thing. I weigh in at only 25 pounds. I love to snuggle. I also love car rides, a fenced in yard and sleeping on the floor. I came into SBR when my prior family went through some life changes, and they could no longer care for me. I recently had my tail amputated due to a large benign growth that was right at the base of the tail. Oh how it would itch and bother me. Now I am totally healed up and happy as can be. I get along well with other doggies, although I don’t really play with them or toys. I know what a doggie door is and where I need to do my business. Will you be my furever home? If you are interested in adopting a lovable senior basset, please consider filling out an adoption application for Lucy.
