My Story
Meet 11-year-old Daphne. She came to SBR with her son, Simon. They were both dropped off at a small shelter, but the shelter knew they needed some pretty serious attention. They were covered with fleas, ticks and both tested positive for heartworms. Due to Daphne’s heavy infestation of heartworms, both her heart and pulmonary artery were enlarged. We had to wait a considerable length of time before she could be spayed due to health concerns. Her foster mom describes her as a bit of a diva. She loves plush toys and always has one in her mouth. She has a very loving and gentle demeanor. For Daphne, all treats are good treats! Due to health concerns with Daphne, she has become an SBR Forever Foster, where she will continue to get the medical attention needed for her and wonderful loving home with her fur siblings and her foster mom.
