My Story
Meet Daisy. She is a 12 year old basset female that is the sweetest, friendliest dog there is. Her tail is constantly wagging. If she’s not sleeping soundly, she will get up from her bed to greet you every time you come into a room. Daisy is overweight and her foster mom is working on shedding a few pounds from her. She does have some hind end weakness but once she’s up and moving, she loves wandering the yard and smelling all the smells. She is currently on 2 different anti inflammatory drugs for her arthritis. She recently had some dental work and had to have the rest of her teeth pulled. She has healed great from this and is way more comfortable now that those rotten teeth are gone She does great eating her kibble when it’s been softened for her. Daisy is good with other dogs but she is not cat tested but her foster mom thinks she would be fine with cats.
The perfect forever home for Daisy would be one where she would get lots of love and attention from her family. A fenced in yard would be ideal, because she likes to wander around at her own, pretty slow pace. Also, Daisy is not great with stairs and would need a ramp if she had to negotiate getting up and down where there were any. Daisy would be fine with another dog but would also be perfectly happy to be the only fur child too.
