My Story
Daisy Mae, compact and sweet, will find the way to your heart. Gaze into her luminous, brown eyes and see love… no trace of the hardships she left behind. She was found hungry and pregnant roaming the fields searching for food. Her kind rescuer took her into his home. After his passing, his compassionate family brought Daisy Mae to their Florida home. They helped her with her 3 newborn puppies. Later, finding homes for all three. SBR stepped up to help after it was decided Daisy Mae would be happier in another home.
Daisy Mae has been recently spayed and is up to date on all her meds. She is heart-worm positive and is currently being treated for them. She is a Basset mix weighing in at 54 pounds and we guess around 6 years old. Social, loving both her people and dog and cat siblings. She is a cuddly, couch potato. She loves car rides and her squeaky toys. Presently, she’s learning to walk on a leash without pulling. Large and unknown dogs scare her, so she is learning to behave appropriately when she meets an unknown dog. Nail clippings and thunder are not favorites.
