My Story
Searching for a mellow fellow? A fellow who loves to hang with his people? I’m Jake, also known as a ten year old, sixty three pound lap dog. I’m up-to-date on all my vet stuff- vaccinations, flea and tick, heart worm treatment, and I had a once over (physical) with the vet. Ear cleanings are not a problem, but I do get nervous when my nails are trimmed. Know what a “sniff fest” is? That’s my version of a walk. I like to hang back, meander only a short distance doing what I do best- sniffing all the good smelling stuff. Housebroken- yes! I love snoozing on the couch or in my doggie bed, and I am also fond of sharing your chair and cuddling with you. I’m a friendly guy who enjoys other dogs and cats. Older kids are okay too- especially if they will give me a belly rub. Say “good boy” to me and I’ll turn around for a back rub or take a dive for my fav- a belly rub. Love me some Dentastix chews and Iams soft food mixed into my dry food. I am afraid of loud noises, and the dreaded thunder or fireworks. Looking for a safe space, I’ll hide under the desk or burrow under a blanket on the couch. Although I can climb up in my special chair, get into the car for a ride (a special treat for me), I do have some arthritis in my hind legs. Couldn’t ask for a better greeter than me when you walk through that front door! Just fill out that adoption application and you’ll have the best buddy there is.
