Basset humans nominate their hound to “run” for King or Queen. The hounds with the most amount of votes (aka funds raised), respectively, wins the crown. Submit your hound today with a photo and a short write up! Votes are taken until NOON the day of the Waddle. The King & Queen also lead the Waddle Parade – it’s a must see!
How do I raise money for my hound?
Get creative! Some people host garage sales, sell homemade items, or simply ask for straight up donations. All money raised helps to support SBR’s medical fund, ensuring we can continue to take in hounds in any condition. And remember, SBR is a 100% volunteer-based organization so the money goes straight to the hounds! Most importantly, do not get discouraged watching the leader board! Some people raise money year-round for this event. EVERY DOLLAR MATTERS. The SBR hounds are so thankful for your participation whether you raise $50 or $50,000.
